Sunkissed Dreaming

Its gonna be a warm weekend!
Happy Friday and here's to spending it by the pool, relaxing,
and dreaming of a fun summer to come...

Start here.

Put on some Fleet Foxes and take a drive.

Play in the sand.

Sit back and just enjoy the view.

Bask in the majesty of the sea.

May not be able to do this, or maybe you can...
a girl can dream...

"Clouds come floating into my life,
no longer to bring rain or usher storm,
but to add color to my sunset sky."

Until next time, keep dreaming. xoxo

Sunkissed Afternoon

The sun is out and its a Sunday afternoon, and although I'm feeling lazy today,
the sunshine always makes me happy.
My kitty's sleeping peacefully next to me, my turquoise curtains are
swaying in the breeze, and the leaves on the tree right outside my
second story window are making that pretty rustling sound.

Thought I'd share some things I'm really diggin' right now:

Lauren Conrad's spread in this months Glamour! I've always been
a big LC fan; her cover photo is a little racy, but she always
knows how to keep it classy.

Zee Avi's Ghostbird album: perfect sunny afternoon tunes.

I'm loving Tavik's Spring 2012 swim collection.

This swing looks amazing.

Turbands (turban+headband) are back! And I love them!
You can find tons of different kinds on eBay.

Vera Wang Lovestruck perfume spray.
Smells soooo good and is long lasting.

Iced Coffee.
I LOOOVE coffee, but in the warmer months a hot
beverage isn't very appealing in the afternoon, so I make it over ice.
Its pretty simple:
Just brew a pot of coffee, but use double the amount of
ground coffee you usually would (same amount of water).
Pour it over a glass full of ice cubes and voila!
I usually add some light vanilla soy milk to sweeten it up,
and help cool it down.
Add a fun straw and enjoy!

I <3 Swell.
Everytime I get their new catalog I want to buy
EVERYTHING in it!

This is a Lovely Bird hat, you can find them at Swell.com too!
So fun, and perfect for a day in the sun or doing some outdoor shopping.

My kitty, Tiki. The puuuurrrrfect cuddle partner.

Until next time, keep dreaming. xoxo

Sunkissed Accessories

Fact: a girl can never have too many accessories.
They add that extra spice to an outfit,
and are usually great conversation starters (so I've learned from all my
customers at the bank I work at).

I found this amazing shoelace bracelet with green studs and
some fun bling, on JuicyCouture.com. Its my new fave!

These fun and girly beach towels are from Juicy as well.
I don't know how I'd feel about getting sand all over them,
but they sure are adorable!

Turquoise is my all time favorite..I seriously want all these rings!

This beautiful "Moon Shield Bracelet" is on NastyGal
Love the colors, and look there's a little turquoise in there!

I love the big tribal necklaces that I'm seeing all over now.
On those days when you just wanna throw on a white tank and jeans, these will add all
the color and style you need!
These are from Threadsence and are very reasonably priced.

Uuumm...so I'm obsessed with iPhone cases. I seriously buy a new
one every month or so, my roomies and sister can all attest to that!
So, when I found this website with amazing, unique covers I wanted to buy them all.
They speak for themselves...

They're all from Society6.com.
There's so many, you could look through them all day!

Until next time, keep dreaming. xoxo

Sunkissed Memories

Another rainy day here...but the overcast sky and chilly breeze always reminds me
of my time living in Santa Cruz; and that always brings a smile to my
face and wonderful memories to mind.
I LOVED how the smell of the sea was always in the air,
and just a short bike ride or drive and I could sit on my
"favorite bench" above Lighthouse Beach and watch the waves.
Because of the way the peninsula is situated it almost looked like the sun was
setting in the north! The photo below was my favorite view...

My best girlfriend and I stumbled upon a surfing competition at Steamer Lane once.
It was a warm, bright day, and tons of fans, joggers, dog-walkers, cyclists, tourists,
and photographers alike stopped to soak in the rays, and the excitement.
The waters are quite cold and not so clear out there, but the waves
can get pretty good at this well known spot, and it makes for some nice photos!

A few of my good friends came to visit me one day while I was living there,
so we decided to stroll the boardwalk.
We noticed a ton of washed up branches and huge logs
on the sand so we decided to have some fun with it!

SeeeeeeSaaawww! (Didn't work too well..)

One of my favorite places to eat in Santa Cruz is El Jardin Mexican Restaurant;
probably because I worked there for a while...
and was able to try everything on the menu! My favorite dish was always
the shrimp quesadilla with black beans and rice...yuummmm.

Here's a few more of my favorite photos from my time in Santa Cruz....

 West Cliff

A gorgeous, hidden beach I found! You have to climb down a steep cliff to get to the sand!

Capitola Beach

 Lighthouse Beach

Until next time, keep dreaming. xoxo
